【Abstract】

Plastic Decoration Technology turns now to "the decoration with some functions". And also "paint-free technologies" are noticed, and in Japan, possibility of adopting of decoration in automotive exterior turns higher. "Film Decoration". "NSD (Non Skin Decoration)", "Structual Decoration" , "Inc Jet printinnng" , "Decoration for FRTP" have been developping.
In this lecture, we show recent noticed trend in plastic decoration technology, and also future direction.

Joined DAIKIN in 2006. Since 'Urusara 7' he has successively created products that astonish users and the industry. Based on the DAIKIN design philosophy 'to make the invisible air beloved,' he has been challenging 'air design' to enhance emotions for living spaces that air can solve, promote the visualization of core technology, and improve communication design with users.

【Abstract】

In conventional product development process, design was defined its shape which can accommodate the parts after the function and specification were decided.However, Daikin air conditioner 'risora' was developed, taking a priority to design development that is considered from the view point of "way of living". To realize the "design that provides experience" from the "design of decoration" in the past, explain the development story and policy of "unfinished design" that takes the customer's life scene as the leading role and thoroughly supports space creation.

Takayuki Miura graduated from Osaka Prefectural Fuse technical high school in mechanical engineering in 1958 and has been working for Fu-Se Vacuum Forming Company since then. He has been a director of the company since 1975 and the president since 1978. He is currently a director of Decoration Technology Study Group as well.

【Abstract】

Three dimension Overlay Method, or TOM for short, is a core technology in 3D surface coating, and has been highly evaluated especially in automobile interior decoration. Not only can TOM decorate products but also can enhance their functionality such as waterproofing.

CMF design which is required for future home appliances .
In respond to the change of market for home appliances, we want to further develop on "decorative materials" from designer's point of view.

【Abstract】

The rapid advancement of the internet has leads to multifaceted changes to home appliances. However, the root of the change is the desire to construct the natural relationship between the equipment and human beings. The change has also extended the value of home appliances including viewpoints from living space and services. Based on this situation, the field of activity of product designers has expanded widely in recent years. Thus we would like to share the CMF material design and want to further study the way of decorative required for future home appliances.

In 1989, entered Nissan Motor Co., Ltd, Materials Dept. and was responsible for interior soft material. In 1995, moved to North America for adopting local material. In 1998, returned to Japan and developed plastic module parts. In 2008, doubled as Materials and Color Design, and developed "Good Touch Feeling" interior material. Since 2012 took the post of Engineering Director of Interior.

【Abstract】

During Japanese Automotive interior history, biggest change was luxury interior in the bubble years. From there, it gained attention and overseas' OEM pay attention to Japanese automotive interior. I think there was something to pay customer's attention. It is very interesting how was product developed?, how was it approached technically?One example among many, introduce "what is customers willing pay for"
