Booth: 5S-19

TIA, a platform for open innovation
TIA is an open innovation hub operated by five organizations: AIST, NIMS, the University of Tsukuba, KEK, and the University of Tokyo. To drive innovation in Japan, these five stellar organizations of TIA collaborate and compile their resources for R&D and support the creation of knowledge and its application in the industry. TIA also fosters next-generation scientists and engineers.

Product 1 Demo

Opportunity for prototype development and verification

TIA provides collaborating companies with prototypes and an environment for verification, in co-ordination with the super cleanroom facility(SCR), the MEMS foundry, and Tsukuba Clinical Research & Development Organization (T-CReDO). In nano tech 2019 we will introduce the results of each project and activities that are becoming commercialized.

Product 2 Demo

Open research facilities

The five core organizations make their state-of-the-art research facilities, including Photon Facility (PF), available for shared use. Database of Open Research Facilities in Tsukuba marks the registration of more than 300 pieces of shared use equipment belonging to four core organizations of TIA. We will introduce shared facilities by poster/ catalog book etc.

Product 3 Demo

Collaboration program

Kakehashi is a program in which TIA’s five core organizations collaborate beyond their organizational boundary and support research and collaborative activities to explore new fields. We introduce the outline and the latest research results.

Product 4 Demo

Human resource development

TIA fosters excellent researchers and engineers by offering TIA Graduate school Summer Open Festival, TIA Graduate school power electronics course and Nanotech Career-up Alliance (Nanotech CUPAL), taking advantage of outstanding TIA researchers and facilities. At nano tech 2019, we introduce the latest activities and the overall picture of human resource development at TIA.
